Hello, my name is Kadyn. The photo below is a picture of a piece of artwork that really means a lot to me. The title of the piece of artwork below is called Pembine. The reason that the name of the piece is Pembine is because recently I lost a very close friend that lived up there next to our hunting land, and I had many great memories with him and it’s been really hard to think about him because he meant so much to me so I thought it would be a perfect name for my art. I created a scene and hunting stand that we have on our land in Pembine that I shot many types of game out of. On this piece of artwork I have only used a pencil and shaded certain areas to make the scene look more realistic. Then, I asked a classmate named Jenna and she thought I should do something to make it look better, and she suggested that I should make the tree branches darker so that they stand out better. I have learned many different things from this piece of artwork because I learned how much you can make something stand out by just playing with it’s color and shade. I believe that my artwork is good because I think it makes the viewer feel like there in that situation in the woods just like a bow hunter. The art element that I used was line my lines are irregular, smokey lines that have there own bold personality in the lines of the tree.
This is a photo of my most recent piece of artwork were I am trying to express and show what I think about bullying. In this project I used one studio habit in particular that studio habit was "I communicate through my art work". The reason why that is my studio habit is because as you can see in my artwork it shows many different colors. The way that the colors are shown are by the diagonal rows and you can see that not all of the rows are the same thickness and some are bigger than the others. That is resembling the small and the big kids but when you put them both together it forms a nice pattern when they all get along. The splatter paint shows that when we all become one we can make a big difference like how the splatter brings out some of the colors in the painting. The way I made all the different colors in one splat was by taking many different color paints without blending them and twisted my wrist to make it look kinda like a spiral. In my painting that is not finished I will still be adding hands joining together to make a formation that symbolizes to end bullying. In this painting I mainly used three elements of art including shape, color and line. The reason that I used shape was by the different kind of shapes used in the painting. I used many different colors in my painting yellow, orange ,red, pink, blue and a little bit of purple in my painting . I used line by using the diagonal lines to show all the different colors in the painting. I connect with this because in both of these paintings I can relate too. That reason is because in this painting below that painting is showing the view from his window. I can relate to that because when I look out my window I see the moon and stars that are very beautiful The second picture below is people talking a break on the farm and I can relate to that because when I work on a farm that honestly what it kinda looks like. Vincent's medium in these two painting was oil. He uses many different elements of art in his paintings like he used line and blended them all together to make the painting, he also used color and value to blend like and dark and to show the strong points in his paintings. Painting is by Vincent Van Gogh Title: Starry Night Painting by Vincent Van Gogh Title: Starry Night
